The Hawaiian Islands are as diverse as the travelers who visit them. The archipelago includes 137 islands, together with eight major ones and many smaller that are not even inhabited. Hawaiian Islands: Hawaiʻi (The Big Island)

The island of Hawaiʻi or the Big Island is larger than all the other islands in the archipelago. The landscapes here are unusually diverse and vary from frozen lava flows, snow-capped mountains and lush coastal valleys to high rocky shores, spacious meadows, deserts and rainforests. The island includes several climatic zones from tropical to subarctic, and resembles a mini-continent in the diversity of its geography.

Hawaiian Islands: Oʻahu

Nicknamed the Gathering Place, the island of Oahu is the most developed from an economic point of view. World-famous places that are most often associated with the Hawaiian Islands are located here. This is, first of all, the incredibly popular resort area of Waikiki and the Pearl Harbor naval base, famous for historical events. Besides, there’s plenty of amazing beaches, the most popular among which is Sunset Beach.

Hawaiian Islands: Maui

Hawaiian Islands: Kauaʻi

It is an island of golf and eco-tourism, also called the Garden Isle. Covered with rainforests and prone to erosion, Kauaʻi is famous for such natural wonders as Waimea Canyon and the Na Pali Coast. Hanalei, which on the north coast, is famous for its beautiful quiet beaches where surfers from all over the world have settled.

Hawaiian Islands: Lānaʻi

Lanai is the smallest inhabited island of the Hawaiian archipelago. many travelers know it under the unofficial name “Pineapple Island”. The thing is that before the mass settlement, a significant part of the island’s territory was occupied by extensive pineapple plantations, some of which have survived to this day. Mysterious rain forests, fabulously beautiful beaches, picturesque fishing villages and unique historical monuments are the main values of the amazing island that attract thousands of curious travelers every year.
